Hey!! 
First of all, let me just tell you how excited I am to be sharing my wearable art in this space!

This project has been many years in the making... researching, learning, creating... evolution takes time, patience, and perseverance! 

I am an ARTIST through and through, and have been expressing myself through my art for as long as I can remember... painting, photography, graphic design, even martial arts! Training capoeira, teaching capoeira, and creating capoeira designs for batizados has been an important part of my life for the last 20 years. Most recently, my journey has led me to yoga as well. My yoga practice started as a way to heal old capoeira injuries and move through grief during the covid pandemic, and then evolved into my 200hour teacher training certification.

Which is why my capoeira and yoga designs are so near and dear to my heart, they combine my passions into a pretty badass wearable canvas! 

 

Sometimes life takes unexpected turns, and a cancer diagnosis is something that shakes up families to their core. My cancer support designs started as a way to celebrate my mom as we walked in a breast cancer walk to honor her being a 25year breast cancer survivor. The cancer support designs became even more important to me when I had to face my own breast cancer diagnosis. Wearing my FIGHTER shirt and seeing my family in their supportive gear helped uplift my spirit through chemo in ways that I cannot express. Showing support to families facing cancer is incredibly important, and donning or gifting cancer support gear is such a simple way to do that.

I want capoeiristas to feel confident in what they wear in the roda, yoga practitioners to feel comfortable in what they wear on the mat, and families facing cancer to feel seen and supported.
